Last Night’s ugly storm

Last night was the worst. Heavy rains plowed through my hometown of Katy this early morning. This is the first spring storm of the year and it’s already concerning. I woke up to hail bashing my window and the concrete outside my parent’s house. I quickly went onto KPRC channel 2 the local Houston news station to find out we have quarter sized hail with 70 MPH winds. I thought I was going to lose my mind! I went to grab my IPhone and started recording last night’s storm. The hail piercings were so loud and the lightning and thunder made it a light show!
I went to watch the news further and surfed Snapchat too,I found out that in Round Rock, Texas that there was tornados destroying the city.
Luckily overnight into the morning, it was around 7:30 and the rain stopped. My first thought about my car and went outside this morning and it was okay with no damage!
We had around 6 inches of rain which was a good thing because I thought we were in summer already with the high temparatures being at 80 degrees lately. But today I woke up to a beautiful 65 degrees with full sunshine!
I hope I don’t go through another bad spring storm like the tax day flood where our streets were underwater and all the other houses around were
flooded. I remember that day vividly where I was able to catch fish right in the street and people were in row-boats going down the street.
I am going to pray to those who lost their homes last night, it was pretty bad for sure!
